Awesome!

7/29 letter - Last week we taught more regular lessons than I have on my mission so far. We taught 18 lessons and got like 6 new investigators. One on Saturday said she had a dream the night before about the door approach and was in baflement. When she got the Book of Mormon she held it up to her chest and was so excited. Right after the elders left (I was on a trade-off for the day with the ZL at Michigan State University) she called the apartment just thanking them for stopping by. I guess she's accountable and it didn't seem to weird when they were there. Maybe it was just the answer to her prayers and she really did have a dream.

We had a kid walk up to us yesterday and say his aunt wanted him to find the missionaries. He's going to be up north for the winter semester but wants the missionaries here to get in touch with him. I asked him if he'd been baptized, and he said that he hadn't, but that it would be something he's thought about. So we'll try to find the missionaries in his area and refer him. That was sweet.

8/7 letter - I've been quietly pressuring the Bishop to have a larger missionary effort. This ward hasn't had any ward missionaries in a long time and our Ward Mission Leader is moving out this week. So on Sunday they sustained 5 new ward missionaries and a great WML. Tomorrow we'll meet with the WML, Bro Owen, to get a ward mission plan together. It's tough when the home teaching is just as bad as Greenville and they don't have the less-active or part member families on any home teaching list. Right now they're only teaching active families. We'll see what we can do with that!

8/14 letter - So this week was very good. We taught 20 lessons and had a lot of things going on. On Friday we had a Zone Conference, which was awesome. Our one Zone Leader had a great activity on answering questions and one of the APs had a great talk. President Edwards did a talk on recognizing the Spirit and different aspects of personal revelation. It was very good, and was pretty much in answer to Elder Paxman's concern about receiving personal revelation himself.

On Saturday the Lansing stake had a priests' activity where they could sign up and go out with the missionaries for a few hours on Saturday. President put me with an interesting one. He's a speed-walking champion and likes to write novels. He's got bad hygiene, too. After President Edwards put me with him, he pulled me aside and thanked me for taking him and said he's a good kid and "will talk your ear off." That's for sure. Anyway, it was a good experience. The last door he knocked on was going to be his to give the door approach, but he froze when the lady came out only in a towel. That was hillarious!
